Ingredients
Homemade Tortillas
  • 3cups unbleached flour, rice flour or flour of choice
  • 1tbsp sea salt
  • 1/2tbsp cane sugar
  • 1/2tbsp baking soda
  • 6tbsp canola oil
  • 1 1/2cups purified water
Vegan Taco Filling
  • 1cup Nut Roast(see nut roast recipe)
  • 1cup spaghetti sauce(we bake in oven first)
  • 2slices onionchopped
  • 1clove garlicsliced
  • dash sea salt
  • 1tbsp olive oilextra virgin
  • 1whole avocado
  • 1/2 red oniondiced
  • fresh cilantro
  • 1cup mix field greens
Instructions
Homemade Tortillas
  1. Mix dry ingredients in bowl, add oil and water. With hands mix dough together until it becomes stiff. If necessary add more water to mixture. Knead dough until it is elastic and smooth. Set dough aside for 5-10 minutes. You can set it in a bowl with a damp cloth covering it. Divide dough into 12 equal parts and form each piece into a ball. Using a rolling pin roll out each piece until it is very thin. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat or use a skillet. When the pan is hot place a rolled out piece in the pan and cook each side for 1-2 minutes or when it looks cooked enough.
Vegan Taco Filling
  1. For the filling we used leftovers from our nut roast recipe or you can get creative and make your own filling. In pan add olive oil, garlic, onion and sauté for 5 minutes then add the rest of ingredients heat until hot, remove from heat and place in bowl. Now you are ready to build your vegan taco. Add ingredients you like, eat and enjoy!
